Alli Flores focuses on creating small batch functional and sculptural ceramics from her home studio in Jacksonville, FL. Flo Pottery is lovingly made by hand over the course of a few weeks to ensure each piece is unique and finely crafted. Flo Pottery pieces are made of white stoneware that is fired to cone 6. Alli finds inspiration from nature while focusing on nautical and coastal elements. Alli is passionate about creating ceramics that are beautiful to view but also functional. She hopes her work invites people to touch and hold the pieces. Alli is the art specialist at JCDS in Jacksonville, FL and has been an elementary art teacher since 2012. She has been creating ceramics since 2008 and started Flo Pottery in 2017. Alli earned a BFA in Art Education, a BFA in Art with an emphasis in ceramics from VSU, and a Masters degree in Art Education from University of Florida.
